What made you want to embark on the Le Voyageur adventure?
“It all started during the Covid period. The restrictions and the distance gave us a deep longing for freedom. After watching so many documentaries about wide-open spaces and life on the road, the motorhome became the obvious choice. It wasn’t just buying a vehicle, it was choosing a new way of living. Since then, every departure has been a promise of discoveries, encounters and freedom regained.”
After several years on the road, what do you still love so much about this travelling life?
“We have travelled through 28 countries in four years. Every journey brings its share of discoveries, landscapes and encounters. What we particularly appreciate is the feeling of taking our bearings and our comfort with us while discovering new horizons every day. But we also love coming back to the moments shared with friends from the Cercle Le Voyageur, around a table, in a spirit of conviviality and simplicity.”
Is there one journey that particularly marked you?
“Norway remains a memory apart. The light never seemed to leave the sky, the fjords were spectacular and the wide-open spaces gave a feeling of freedom that is hard to describe. At every stage, the landscapes took our breath away. It is a country where you feel both tiny in the face of nature and incredibly alive.”
What advice would you give to someone setting off with Le Voyageur for the first time?
“Travelling by motorhome means finding the right balance between freedom and organisation. Take only the essentials, stay flexible when the unexpected happens and take your time. The most important thing is probably to keep a simple, adaptable mindset. It is often when you stray from the planned programme that the best memories are made.”
